Jim specialises in business and corporate structures and their taxation
aspects as well as personal tax planning and charities.
He graduated in law from Trinity College Cambridge
and studied his Law Society Finals at Nottingham. He served articles with a City firm and
having qualified as a solicitor in 1969 worked in the City dealing with corporate and
banking matters. In 1972 he moved to the corporate department of a provincial firm and in
1974 joined KJD, becoming a partner in 1975. In the early 1980s he became head of the
corporate department, a position he held until 1995. During this time Jim headed a number
of transactions including major disposals and acquisitions several MBOs as well as being
involved in company flotations. |
