Peter has specialised in employment law for over 10 years. His expertise is founded on acting for both employers and employees in all areas of business ranging from manufacturing and service industries to retail and public sector services. Peter has an excellent reputation in his field and advises on employment issues for many of the firm's principal clients. Peter joined KJD in 1982 as a trainee legal executive in the litigation department. He was admitted as a fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and graduated in law from Staffordshire University where he also studied for his Legal Practice Course. Peter was promoted to associate in April 1996 and became a partner in April 1998. The employment law unit consists of a team of specialist solicitors with its own support team and research facilities. The unit undertakes both contentious and non-contentious work and deals with all aspects of the employment relationship from beginning to end. Peter is also involved in organising and presenting training seminars and workshops and produces various publications on employment matters of current interest. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and has close connections with trade organisations and other employer associations.
